The
GTX™ 33/33D Remote Mounts are Mode S, IFR-certified transponders
with datalink capability, including local traffic updates. Now, from
the comfort of your aircraft, you can receive FAA Traffic Information
Services (TIS), including location, direction, altitude, and climb/descent
information of nearby aircraft on your GNS
480. The result is improved communication between aircraft and air
traffic control (ATC), providing U.S. pilots with greater traffic awareness
in busy terminal areas.
The solid state design of these transponders increases efficiency by
using less power, creating less heat emissions, and eliminating warm-up
time. Other features include remote ident and auto standby, plus altitude
monitor with voice alerting.
The GTX 33D contains all of the features of the GTX 33, and adds antenna
diversity for improved visibility to TCAS-equipped aircraft flying above
you.
Together, the functionality of the GTX 33/33D, used with the innovative
GNS 480, represents a whole new standard in transponder utility.
Please note: The GTX 33 and GTX 33D both meet the requirements of Level
2 Mode-S to satisfy the upcoming European Mode-S mandate for Elementary
Surveillance.
